Do you have some connections you can share? One of my ancestors is Deacon Job Strong Leonard. Born about 1724 and served in the Revolutionary War. I cannot find his father or mother. I assume the middle name of Strong comes from a relative. The next Leonard is Samule Leonard, JR. 1702.
Thanks,
Deb
I’m interested in offering updates on the Thomas Strong line that weren’t included in the update book and collaborating on documentation with others. I’m descended from Timothy Strong & Anne Rogers.

I have just come across your page on the will of the Rev James Stronge of Devon, England. Number 113 in the list of his family, Maximilian, is my grandfather. I can fill in some of the missing details about him, if you wish.
I live in Derby, England.
I am trying to locate some information more than what I have found about Judson Strong b. 1844 son of Chauncy B. Strong & Eunice J. Leihy. I can find Judson in 1860 IL and 1870 IL and we know he married Kate Powers & had a son named either Charles Richard Strong b. abt. 1872, or went by the name of Chauncy Strong in Chicago.
Thoughts are he died in the Chicago Fire. Does anybody know how long he was alive between 1870 and 1880 and exactly what happened to him?

I have some information I’d like to contribute on my line. I am a descendant of Byron Strong, who settled in Quebec, then after moved to Ohio about 1860. How can I share this information?

Would like to join Strong Association and would like to submit tree from Gen. John Strong through Chloe Strong to me again. Did it while Bob was in office before he died, so it may be in his papers somewhere. Let me know how to respond. Thank you.
We’re descended from Samuel and Ezra and the Pittsfield Strongs. I just returned from a trip to Windsor, Northampton, Pittsfield, Williamstown and Addison, Vermont all of which have old houses with Strong connections. The Pittsfield and Addison VT Strongs appear to have played a significant and hitherto unheralded role in the May 10, 1775 seizure of Fort Ticonderoga. It is probably that there are additional original records in the Guard/Militia offices in Boston related to Captain John Strong 2nd Berkshire Rangers Militia. Does anyone have any additional relevant information? Is someone willing to check the old militia records in Boston? I have the address and contacts. Posted Memorial Day for a reason…
Does anyone have the contact info for the designer of the Strong Crest? I would like to get in touch with him.
Where should I send the new additions, deaths, marriages, divorces for the JEDEDIAH Son of Elder John Strong
Decendant of Mildred Strong #18427, pg. 988 on the Harry P. Strong Sr. family 11 — #61?
I am researching the Strong family (my husband is a descendant of Nellie Belle Strong — her father was Philip Strong and Philip Strong’s father was Edgar E. Strong who married Mary Agnes Chipman—they lived in Brooklyn, Schuyler, Illinois). I wonder if anyone know the date of death for Edgar E. Strong? I have him born in 1860, but I can not find a date or place of death for him. Does anyone have that information that they would share? Your website is a great site. Edgar & Mary Agnes (Chipman) Strong had 5 children: Philip Strong, Hal J. Strong, Bonnie D. Strong, Mary Strong, Myrtle Ann Strong. Thank you.

After long searching, I found line from Simeon Strong, who was my 4th great-grandfather. 3rd great-grandfather was Jonathan Strong, 2nd great-grandfather was Herman L Strong, 1st great-grandfather was Joseph Weller Strong. My grandfather was Henry Milton Strong, my father was Milton Henry Strong. Through Jedediah’s lineage. Jedediah was born on August 7, 1667, died July 24, 1689. Jedediah was the 3rd child born to Elder John Strong and Freedom Woodward. They had 13 children.
Anyone who has updated information to share with the SFFA should forward it to us as we are continuing to add to our updated lines.
I can provide info regarding Albert E Cook, son of Jonathan Waters Cook and Lucretia Cook if you are intersted

I am spreading the word to all my cousins and one aunt who never knew about their ancestors who were descended from Jedediah Strong, the third child of Elder John. No one remembers hearing about our history any further back than my great-father
Joseph Weller Strong. They are so delighted with all the searching I have done. Many very famous people came from Elder. I feel as if I know him personally; I have done lots of reading. I found out recently that Henry Alvah Strong, b. 1837 d. 1919, was a partner with George Eastman of Rochester.NY. Henry Strong became the President of KODAK !!! They were both great philanthropists. You must look this up–great story.
I am thrilled to find this website. My sister and I are researching the Strong family line and we are descended from Jedediah Strong. Stephen Strong Jr.
came to Nova Scotia in 1762 and was a Baptist and farmer. Why did he move there? Would like to more details if possible. My father Arthur Owen Strong was born in Nova Scotia and died in Vancouver, B.C. Canada where I live.
When and where is the Strong Family reunion in 2015?
Thanks,
Catherine ( Strong) Paris
For Jonathan Davidson, I, too, and direct descendant of Luther Strong. My records state that Luther was a Captain in the War of 1812. I am seeking more information but have not found any
at this point.

Dear relatives, I found the site of something very special to the Elder John line from his son Elder Ebenezer Strong. This site I’m listing is from the Historic Northampton Museum (just type this into SEARCH. Find the “Collections” section and there will open up this fabulous colored photograph of a Joined Chest. But you must read the top of the chest…in large block carved letters is SARAH STRONG She was the 4th child of Ebenezer Strong and Hannah Clapp. I couldn’t believe my eyes !!! It was probably kept by a family member and never discarded; how great was that? Here the whole world can see something that really belonged to and was cherished by her. It is priceless in value and is 316 years old. If you travel to Northampton make sure you stop to see this.
The Strong Family is a gift to all Americans, In this day and age we must all support this great nation with all our might. That’s what this family stood for before us and we should stand for now. Fly your flag every day, weather permitting.…Love you all, Barbara V. Strong
